Hey guys! I've been reading the forums for a while, but I still don't know how to start. I want to grow Mary Jane for personal use, but I don't know how many plants to start with. I've got access to a shed in the backyard, but I also wanna have a workshop in there (woodwork and stuff) so is it possible to make a grow box and leave it in the back of the shed? And how many plants should I grow for personal use/sharing with mates? Thanks guys, any help/links to another topic would be appreciated. So I am curious how much it will cost to run lights, Ive calculated about 1320watts after I have everything set up & just want to know around what the electric bill will be like & or if maybe I should try less watt lights so I wont go broke. So how many watts do you use for your grow & how much does it cost you each month? & how many hours do you operate the lights for?

so like im trying to figure out the finer points of how to do this, as im currently trying to accomplish a wall..that can be pulled down and moved, but also with the ability to house my fans exhaust/intake. now im thinking build a simple frame structure, plaster board and sound insulation to kill the rattle n noise from the fans, is this going to work?? people have suggested not to attempt to bridge the gap where the corness is but rather get a rubber block that can be cut and slot in place, benifits of this would be that cause my roofs extra high i would save hight for future use of this room.... is there alternate ways of doing this wall idea or am i gonna have to…

Hi guys I am a newbie here Starting out fior the first time and have been sold a 55 cm pot system by a guy I know well (he owns the hydro shop). He has given me a system running three interconnected 55cm pots which I will run using clay and perlite mix under 2 X 400w hps sontiagrow lights in a room 1.8 X 2.5 X 2.8. I was told to expect a large yeild but cannot find any info on what size to grow to and for how long when I am veging. How large should I grow to in a pot this big and what yeilds should I roughly expect as a ball park figure? Hey guys I just found out that 2 out of 5 of the timers I have bought are faulty and do not want to get the same timers again (arlec outdoor). Can anyone suggest a good reliable brand or timer which will last a long time without fail. This would be greatly appreceated.

Hi Guys, So I've been pricing up a grow for my garage. I'm going to be growing in organic compost no hydro because I want a premium product. Anyway the total for a 600w grow comes to about $850. This seems to be quite high but does it sound about right?

I have 5 auto flowering blueberry kush seeds. And I am wondering if anyone can tell me the most basic costing and eay to follow method for getting from them a smokable crop. The only seeds I have ever germinated before, I did so in wet cotton wool in the cupboard, between two plates. The transferred to soil when they germinated, and gave them water and normal room light or day light if possible. But this was in England, in Manchester, where there was barely any sun. Now I am in Melbourne, Australia, and despite the current tennis ball sized hail storms, there remains, a lot of sunlight to come... Any help is appreciated. Cheers, WG

Hi folks, I probably should have done a grow diary but being new I thought my one plant I managed to raise from bagseed was going to die any but now I'm starting to get confident that "Bobbina" as I call her will get there. Don't ask me why I called her that - oh alright then first it was Bob and then I remembered I wanted her to be female hence Bobbina. I've got a cupboard which is a pre-made one I put together myself. So it has that fake wood look to it. I put on two coats of Flat White but it scratches off far too easily. Do I need to sand it back, or put something else on first before the flat white? Cheers.

Looking at a cheap cabinet from Office Works for $50 bucks which has the following dimensions. 600W x 240D x 760mmH It seems good to me however I am not too sure about the 240D. That's probably not enough is it? Not sure where else I can get a cabinet suitable from short of building one myself (not going to happen.) I will just have to hit up a few stores in town and see what I can find I guess.

I have my regular store I visit and on the way home from work thought I'd drop into another store to see what they had. Iam looking at getting just a simple thermostat to control the temperature of my tent and enquired about one at the second store I've mentioned. His price $300. My normal store - $120 These are identical controllers by the way.............. Have you guys/gals found such large differences in pricing between stores?

I've never painted before, and need to paint a pine hood. All the threads I read recommend 'flat white paint'. Since I've never bought paint before I'm not too sure which paint I should use. Any one here used white paint in their hoods? Any recommendations for which brand, or specifically which paint is best for reflecting light? Thanks.

g'day g'day... ok here it goes.. built 2 new small rooms today the clone room for the cuttings 690L X 480W X 2130H..i will be using a 80w cf for that, and for the veg room ill be using a 400w hps, the size is 1317L X 480W X 2130H. i have a small fan ill be using as an outtake not to sure of the size i put a pic up do you think it will do the job?, as for the system.. ive set up a ressy underneath it and drilled a hole so i can pump the water up and ill have to work something out for drainage.. im not too sure how to go about to atm.. anyways lemmie know what ya's think cheers!!
