Ok... so I can see hydroponics and OCD aren't entirely compatible... Have spent the best part of all day fart arsing around trying my brilliant ideas. (I say "my brilliant ideas"... but chances are I've seen something similar elsewhere and in true stoner style tried to reproduce it Sparkyblue's style.) Taken on board some very handy advice (thanks Rev,HM & and the likes) regarding making life easier at feeding and cleaning time. Grabbed some cheapish plastic crates and modified them a little with a drill bit, grommet, sillicone and 4 mm tubing and taps. The two smaller 15L ones are receptacles for each of the 250mm Autopot pots. I grabbed some 13mm irrigati…

The crop is dried and in the bag. Here is what happened in the last weeks. About Nov. 30 patches of mold began appearing on some plants. By 3 December the mold spread enough that all but three plants were harvested. By 5 Dec. the rest were taken. In every case the plants would have done better to have grown another two weeks. So what was harvested was a bunch of immature bud. Total dried bud weight was about 1 kg from an area of about 5 square metres. Should have been closer to 2 kg. Still, the harvest looked like buds, albeit a bit loose. Smoking the stuff is interesting. Different. The high is different, considerably more stony than the same varieties grown indoo…

Hi y'all well here are the pics for finished product OK except i ran out of friggen tape AGAIN But only entrance left.. The bed was actually really easy to move back in place and is about 1ft from the window so good for vent not too far to travel It was pretty hard to get the desk in but worth the effort showing off my gear on the desk , that i'll tape up with panda tomorrow, and the entrance that will just let me slide through.. Cheers again Hopper.. It was pretty easy to work around the ladder and it worked like a jack lifting the bed up when needed to slide panda under it She's taped up inside and out, and not 1 speck of light gets in.. I tested it w…

Latest photo taken two days ago. The purple plant is California Orange; it is making spindles and producing quite leafy bud. In fact, most of the bud is more leafy than I am accustomed to seeing. This is probably due to the high kelvin, high intensity light. Unlike indoors, the budding progresses right down to the bottom of the squat plants (the box height is about 1,200 mm). Looks to be about three weeks from the finish. Mary Cannabliss

Hi all, I am looking at doing another indoor setup, as the last grow in my backyard was quite stressful as I was kinda paranoid about getting busted (one of my neighbors noticed the mully in amongst all the other stuff growing an asked me what was all the stuff I had growing - I knew what he meant! Luckily he was cool ) Anyway, I like the idea of a grow tent, simply because it would be easy to pull down and move if necessary, unlike a cupboard. Im thinking of using 1" PVC piping as my frame, and the thickest panda film to encase the frame, along with panda zips and flaps with velcro to cover the panda zips to prevent light leaks. Plywood would make the floor and the ro…

Hi all. I am new to the forum, so any direction as where to look and post is appreciated. I am looking at doing my first grow, but plan on continually growing for personal use. I want to set up box and some auto strains for my first attempt and need some direction. I have done a bit of research and so far i am figuring i can build a box or convert a wardrobe or something similar to suit my needs, using auto strains as a first grow because from what i can see they are pretty easy- ideal for my first go at this. Basically i need as much help as i can get as to construction- sizes, lights, fans etc.. Any links are appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the latest pic, taken 15 November. Note the bit of duct in the upper right; this leads to a 125 mm inline fan that keeps the box from getting too humid when in the dark cycle. The old canvas on the ground in front of the box is what is used to cover it. Harvest of the early maturing California Orange plants should start in about three weeks. Mary

Looking to get an idea as to how people would ideally run a Stealth Cupboard Setup in the following space. Also would be useful to find out what work would need to be done to get it ready. (Tear Carpet, Wiring, etc) Obviously some doors will need to be attached with will allow them to be padlocked Holes punched on the left closets wall would lead to an open area which is the 'subfloor' of the building above this one so can use that for intake/exhaust. Initial thoughts were Clone/Mother Left side and Veg/Flower right side, but Watts and Floor/Air space would need to be worked out. Possible SCROG? Left Closet: W: 60cm L: 60cm H: 128/ & 110cm Right Closet: Fro…

Hey guys, so i have been reading up on everyone elses guides and posts for the last couple weeks, and i think it is finally time for me to get started on my own cupboard build. I am new to all of this and have no idea what i am doing, so any advice is welcomed. It will be in the cupboard of my room, its 2 meters wide 50 cm deep and 2.4 meters high to the ceiling. I plan to grow around 3 plants at a time. Here is a picture of what i am planning, i made it in about 15 minutes so sorry if it is a bit confusing, but i tried to make it as informative as possible. http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/432/setupp.gif as you can see im not sure if i should use a HPS, because…

Imagine taking a basic grow room outdoors at about 41° S Latitude. Lay it on its backside and the door becomes the way the box is put into darkness when it is time to bloom it. The plants grow in soil. When they get half way to the top of the box (ours is 1,200 tall) they are flipped. The quality should equal the best possible from the tropics because the light intensity at this latitude about the longest day is similar to that near the equator and because the UV levels in our southern hemisphere light are over the top. Imagine that: tropical quality dope in the mid-latitudes. The first photo shows the plants when put into the grow box, this was about mid-September. Th…

Hey all, I've begun planning my grow cupboard because I shall be moving out of home in a month or so. I'm after insight on what size fans/lights etc. I should use for the space that I have. Here is a picture which I have drawn, I hope it is clear enough for you to read. The picture is looking in from the front. I plan to start out growing in soil, but later down the track when I get the hang of things, I would like to move into hydroponics. I think that the cupboard I have designed will be large enough to fit 3-4 medium sized plants in. here's the pic!:

First up, I'll warn you I'm terrible with anything to do with my hands, so I will not be making my own kind of cupboard or anything of the like. I do live at home with my parents, my dad knows I smoke, my mum doesn't. Shes the only problem! My first idea was do to a small PC or bar fridge grow, as I am only looking to grow one or two plants at a time. I was directed onto a few sites and I've been browsing them for good kits, and also threads on this site. I've been looking at prices of wardrobes, but I don't really know the specs I will need for them, and I'd rather have a solid idea before I buy. Vinnies and salvos rules. My previous plans were for an outdoor grow,…

Hello all. I had been looking into growing outside but I am able to move inside, specifically the shed. This option is a lot safer than outside obviously. Now. I live in the tropics so I was just a little concerned about the heat issue. Being new to this I just wanted to ask about lighting. Am I right in thinking fluro will give off the least amount of heat? Its 30+ here everyday as it is so don't want the cupboard getting any hotter. The cupboard is 180cm x 100 x 58 so pretty small which suits me fine. What do people think?
