Hi, I've had a pretty good search online for a 250w HPS with air cooled hood and ballast, but they seem to be a bit rare from sites within oz. I was going to buy one from aussieponics.com, but their site has been down for the past few days. They are also listed on ebay from aussie ponics, but I'm a bit concerned that if he hasn't got his website working after this long, he may not be in business any more. Apart from that, I see a few sites with a 250w ballast sold seperately, but I'd like to get a complete kit (bulb, hood, ballast etc). It wouldn't be an issue if I was willing to go for a 400w hps or higher, but a 250w seems more suitable for my situation. Also…

Hi all I am just getting into growing and have my first outdoor happening right now. However I am seriously considering a wardrobe set up in my garage, and actually got myself a second hand closet for the job. I was looking at spending about $500 for all the kit. However now I have seen a whole starter kit on eBay for about $200 that includes a tent, lights, ballast and timer. So I am considering just using that. I just don't understand why it is so cheap, obviously quality is a consideration but maybe I should just start with this and if I learn the ropes with it I can then buy better equipment in a year or so. Hi all, Made myself a swampie just to lower the degrees by a few in my indoor grow room. Anyone here made one and can suggest a good material/filter ? I tried to use an old pillow case, and it worked a bit but didn't soak up the water enough for it to be a cool inlet.

So here I am, just about to set up my first ever grow and I'm faced with a problem that I have thus far been unable to find a decent answer too. I live right up the top you see. How on earth am I going to keep the temperatures under control. Considering that every day is 30+ and the grow will be small I'm at a bit of a loose end about what to do. Obviously what ever the temperature is outside its going to be higher inside the grow regardless of what type of cool tube I use as the ait outside is already hot. I certainly can't afford to ac the whole room constantly. I would be using just a 400 watt HPS but I've read that what ever the temperature is outside its going to…

Hi guys! My friends has been having a lot of trouble with her veg chamber for her seedlings ect as we have been getting most my info from american friends... Here is what she have: 54L container 50w fan Crompton lighting: fluro 240v strip 60w. She has the fan in the continer with a 15cm in diameter hole in the top for ventilation. on a very tight budget and she is chomping through quality seeds. not sure what the problem is, maybe its the gear? all seedlings seem to be drying out and shrivling up. any help would be much appreciated. Hi All Firstly apologies if this has been asked before. I have looked but cant find anything. Does anyone know if anywhere in Australia there is a company who sell a completed grow closet like 'super closets' in the U.S? I am thinking of building my own, but got an F in school for woodwork so i know my limits. Any help would be appreciated.

One way glass is expensive and only allows in half the light as its lightly coated on the inside with a reflective material. The inside can't have any lights or reflective walls or it becomes visible to the outside. Even half the sunlight should be enough for a good grow. Passing helicopters would only see the sky reflected back at them. Ofcourse they might wonder why the surface is so reflective. http://science.howst...question421.htm Might not be too expensive. Going to have to do this in a few posts as the pics are to big Hello guys and girls Thought I would show you what I a up too. My first wardrobe build. I only want to grow one plant at a time very stealth fully without my better half finding out. I put the drobe in the shed for three months before I started to see if she would go anywhere near it. luckily she hasn't yet so I now i'm on my build mission. Hi all I plan to move from the laundry to the garden shed soon..................................... but there are problems........heat/cold.....noise and perhaps smell! Ok, so to start I guess I should share a half arsed drawing of the room I have to work with I have a couple of options: 1) remove the shelf between a + b and create one large 1.2m high section which would be ideal and keep part c as maybe a little clone section waiting to move into the box? 2) keep them all as different sections - using c as room for the nutrient tank - b for the growing - c for the clones? 3) whatever you guys think would work best and I will scrap my shit ideas and go with that haha I know I could make one plant work well with option 1 - would I fit 2 in there with an aim of a pound or so per crop?
