I need to set up a 'thing' to keep up to 2 mother plants in. It will be located in an outdoor shed and will be subject to pretty hot temps in summer [plenty of plus 40 degree days] and pretty low nighttime temps [outside under 5 degrees for all of winter] for 6 months of the year. This needs to be minimalist. So can someone with experience please advise what the minimum requirements would be to sustain a couple of plants sufficiently to take say 5 cuttings at a time every 3 months? Does it need to be ventilated? I suspect they wouldn't grow sufficiently to take cuttings without heating in winter? I'm not sure that it's worth the bother but I've taken cutting…

Is it worth building a small lung room about the same size as my grow room to provide a more stable temp range during winter and also the middle of summer. Or are they to hard to dial in correctly. I have researched but there are so many different opinions. Any helpwould be much appreciated thanks.

Please! Estimating this whole setup will cost about $600. I can put off buying the T5 setup and stick with my 130W CFL so I can save ~80 or so there for now. If I get this up and going it will be primarily a flower grow until I get some clones or pop more seeds.

After a failed outdoor grow this year, I've taken the initiative to utilize an old PC that was just laying around. Case is an old Soltek, can't seem to find much about it... Plenty of potential ventilation Nothing much else yet; will continue cleaning it up plus installing the fans, reflective insulation, lights, etc. Stay tuned, definitely more to come! Sm0k3r

Hey all just need some advice on wiring up a fan to be able to plug into the wall. Do I simply go get the replacement cord and connect the three colours up? http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/15/54147cfbb678d821919ef064a397e9f8.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/15/1f7fe8098a7c417be34a9c8ec3a892c0.jpg

ok well i know you can use an old fridge for a grow box other people have done it before, but (stupid question) could you somehow make one from a fridge that still runs? like somehow use the coldness of the running fridge to keep your lights cool? but at the same time have a nice temperature controlled area for your plants. might have to get some form of dehumidifier so you can keep the the air cool, but dry? and as long as you don't bust any pipes or important bits i'm sure you can cut a hole in the side of the freezer section and pump your air/cool tube though that, use some selleys stop leak goo to fix any problems and you should be right this is probably just …

thinking of making a space bucket as seen on youtube by an aussie, its a 20L bucket which u place the plant inside of and a light and fan on the top i orginally thought of using one bucket ontop of another so i have around 80cm in height and placing a small 25w CFL inside but the idea now is with what i have on hand, a 20L single bucket, a 10w LED spot light in warm white, a laptop power supply, i just need to purchase a 12volt 40x40mm computer fan for the exhaust this is the LED light i plan on cutting out a slightly smaller retangle and hot gluing the light to the lid of the 20L bucket, 10watts seems to be dull enough to clone under so that will come handy i may…

Hypothetical question here say one was crazy enough to attempt to grow in outdoor tin shed in summer ... For few reasons including stealth / access / location Obviously you would want to have bare minimum a portable air conditioner and dehumidifier to stabilise temps and RH and some wicked extraction fans. But im thinking more along the lines of could you put something like insulation on the inside and possibly paint the roof white? or other serious ways of cooling down - even like of the posts i made before about drawing cool air from underground. Id put a tent in there as well to help seal out bugs and such and hopefully help even more with the temps. I know a…

Hey Everyone, Im about to get started setting up my grow tent i purchased from Ebay. All excited i open the package sent to me from ebay, and the instructions say to lay out the pieces and make sure you have them all. So i lay them out and discover they have sent me 2 x Extra of type A, and 2 x Short of Type D - i contact them to let them know, i sent this: hi, im a bit confused regarding the instructions. as suggested i layed out the pieces and the peices that i have dont correspond to the instructions for the sized tent i purchased. It says i should have Tube A x 5 Tube B x 6 Tube C x 6 Tube D x 8 but instead i have Tube A x 8 Tube B x 6 Tube C x 6 Tube D x 5 a…

Hi people..Great Forum/Site.... Looking for some guidance. I have a grow space that I can utilise. I don't know if it's big enough for two plants. The dimensions are 1300mm wide x 500mm deep x 2000mm high. Can any of you experienced guys/girls tell me if these measurements are suitable? Is it deep enough? Thanks in advance. Jack!
