I recently purchased some mush off a trusted dealer, it was my first time doing mush... I did 3 grams, I was absolutely fucked out of my mind, parden my language but thats the only way to describe it... At the top of my high, I couldnt see properly and everything was swriling colors and numbers and stuff like that. I did not overdose... My friend who is an avid mushroom user ate 4 grams of the same crop and he litterally overdosed. Wow finally birthed my cakes today great feeling! - If you have a look a few threads down you can see one by my noob self wondering about kits I made late August, I feel as if I have learnt a world of knowledge since then Due to the tropical climate im in I had really fast mycellium colonization and the jars were at 100% in a little over 2 weeks. The substrate was Vermiculite and Brown Rice Flour (just grounded brown rice with my magimix into flour). It was pressure cooked at 15psi for 70mins. Strain of cubensis is 'Equador' which is known to be good for a beginner. Started with 10 jars and lost 4 to contaminates, although I put this down to my very crappy first …

The usual 'cased grains' caper. 300 grams bird seed (mostly millet with some wheat and rye in it) and a quarter teaspoon of gypsum was mixed dry in 1 lt glass jars. Water was aded at a ratio of 70 ml water to 100 grams grain. This was pressure cooked at 15 psi for 90 minutes. Once cooled to room temperature the jars were inoculated with a liquid mycelium produced by spores on a 5% 'dextrose and light malt' solution. Honey works equally well. 20 ml of mycelium solution was shot to each jar. The jars were vigorously rolled and shaken after inoculation to spread the mycelium. Incubated at 28C. Ive been thinking growing some exotic mushroom strains lately and it seemed like mushbox.com is the most recommended for kits? I was having a look atbuying the 'The Advanced Myco101 System ' : http://www.mushbox.com/advanced101.html What do you think of their 'advanced kit' ? Im looking to do multiple (cycle) grows so dont just want to go one bag one spore kit. Ha, so yeah I'm going to get set up to grow some. actually mainly going to actually be growing edibles - portabellas and button. I have seen accidental mushrooms grow and outdoor ones too, it's crazy quick right, and I love mushrooms. but yeah i figure the "other" ones are much the same? Found out you need spores obviously but im not sure if any online stores are aussie and I assume customs would be an ass about it right? So anyone managed to grab some? do they take off the ability to like grow new generations or can you get started off and take it from there? also, i seriously thought there would only be a few types, there's f'n heaps! any ideas for the first time user?…

Hey all, Just came back from a bush doof, where I encountered & tried "Philosophers stone". I believe it is a type of truffle. Fantastic drug for philosophising, full of epiphanies & revelations. Excellent for intelligent tangent conversations!! I found a UK website that sells grow kits, but am wondering if anyone knows if it is legal here & where I can find a grow kit here in Oz??

Hey guys. Iv been spending a bit of time working out at singleton, Maitland / Newcastle area. I have done shrooms on one occasion, and i was told that they were south American mushrooms, and they basically just looked like tiny dried moth balls (and tasted quite similar i would imagine) so it made it quite hard to see what they look like in their alive state.
