I have been trying the short light cycle for the last 2 weeks on my veg. 14hrs under CFL. It looks like better growth, it has not had any negative effect that I can see. these 2 clones have doubled in in size with plenty of allover growth. I have another cupboard for veg running a 400w, it has been on the 12on-5.5off-1on-5.5off. These also appear to be doing extremely well with on sign of flowering. My budding room is still 12/12, if all goes well with the veg I will try the reducing light cycle. So, here's the deal. My babies are burning (see pic) and I can't figure out why. I have added ZERO nutes to them - only rain water and the soil. It's possible that the heat of the new warm lamp (I recently graduated my babies from the seedling fluoros) may have turned the soil's slow release fertz into fast release and overwhelmed the poor girls. So, I did a PH test and it came out pretty squarely at 7.5 (again, see pic). I gotz me some dolomite lime and am ready to go, but I'm wondering... if all the lime's going to do is stabilise the PH to 7.0, I'm wondering if there's a point to applying it at all? Isn't the ideal PH around 5.0-5.5? Can you please advise me, b…

Has anyone ever thought about or attempted to grow a cannabis plant that is bonsai sized or at least suitable for a desktop? I always thought it would be cool to have it as a desktop plant , which produces enough weed for about a decent sized joint. Im a total newbie at this, so its just a curious question i have. Hi all got a question? I;m just about ready to flip my plants for flowering. changing over from the 130cfl to the 400 cooltube. I also have to repot them I cant repot and leave in the veg chamber as they wont fit so its straight off to the flowering chamber, I have been veging under the 12-1 system anf the main light period is 7pm to 7am now I want to run the hps during the day 7am till 6pm (you start at 11 hrs ib the 12-1 system) So should I repot them during the 1 hour break and then give them a long nights rest? which would be repot between 12.30and 13.30 leave in the dark till 7am next morning (17.5 hr long night) OR repot and the long day under hps 23 hrs (Long …

Hello all!! Am new to this site and Loving it! But i was wondering what everyone does if you have guests to your house? My interstate inlaws visit every few months and im trying to think of places to put the plants. I have space in the roof, but no setup and im not sure how to grow hyrdo... I was thinking about putting them in a back corner in my garden with some big bushes and planting tomato or corn in front of that to hide it.... hi guys can you give a friend of mine some advise on his plants. i joined the site yesterday for advise on my greenhouse plant but i told my friend about this site and he has asked me to do a post for him.. the strain is THE CHURCH they are 3 weeks old taken from small cuttings. he has a 250 watt cfl vegging bulb at the moment but is going to use the 600 watt hps after he goes 12/12. this his his second grow as the first failed he thinks due to over watering (everyday). could some of you experts look at the pics and give your opinions please. by the way i am loving reading your posts and looking at the pics. cheers.

Hello , I was looking at my 125w CFL the other day and noticed there was some dust and shit built up in the CFL , so I just lightly dusted it and blew out some crap ......but it didnt seem like it got it as clean as I wanted it ....but because I didnt want to go hard (and maybe wreak it ) I just left it as clean as it was , set it up and used it ........... What I want to know is ............ How do you guys/girls clean your CFL's? Has anyone had a bad experience with cleaning a CFL? Has anyone had a bad experience with a dirty CFL? Hey folks, First grow, in organic soil under cfl's (180watts in a white box, using Dutch master grow for my flowering nutes... I'm 11 and a half weeks into flowering and shes now over 3ft tall with very juicy buds all over and just one main cola, the cola which seems to have a fair bit of stretch but we learn from our faults but is still at least a foot long while most buds are from about 20cm long. HI guys. Just started week 5 of flower on a first attempt at growing. (apparently a C99 x of some kind) Its a scrog running a sativa dominant bagseed plant in perlite/coco75/25, Just finished a trim over 3 days and would appreciate some advice. The lower canopy was very thick with lots of leaves pushed up against each other not allowing much air flow, so even though it was 4 weeks in I decided I had better give her a trim to avoid mould issues and to allow access should a pest/disease problem arise in future. (her first ever real trim) I know its too late to be doing that kind of thing but In the end I think the +'s out weigh the -'s because it opened things up…

Just received a news letter from Green Harvest. They have a section on live green manures. If the mods allow it, here is the site, http://www.greenharvest.com.au/seeds/green_manure_cool.html They have a green manure for the warmer seasons as well. It is pretty good for out door growers.

Ok all heres my questions I know feminized seeds mean they are girls but what is a auto? and what if you cloned a auto would they stay auto? and what if i assume autos are girls would happen if bred with a regular male? would they stay auto or become regular? i have read they say auto flower but what does it mean? scrog netting do you just keep it under the net or weave it through the net? thanks for the answers to my dumb questions
