I just went a bought a Hygrow Spectrum 130w 14000k ultra blue light & hood for my little project. will my sprouts be ok with the sun for the day then the CFL at night? They are going outside for the season once healthy. Iv had it goin for 2 days now & they seem to be ok. I have the light 2inch's away from them as there aint much heat & i have a fan.

stoners .. i'm thinking about trimming the roots in the dwc pot ... in order to cope with the summer root zone temps . should i ? could i ? would ya ? i know they don't mind a trim in the soil but .. water ? any input would be great cheers ev

Hola! I am a complete newbie in here and even more newbie in growing. I had a couple of plants back home but i never worried about anything (cuz i didnt know anything) and i never smoked them. Ha! My question here is this... What exactly do u smoke? The female or male? or both? Ive heard that the only one that contains THC is the female plant so therefore the male is usless in this sense and should not be smoked? or I wouldnt get high? Also i was wondering, when you grow u cut only the top (when there are buds and everything is ready) and dry it, etc... the rest of the plant stay intact and, does it grow buds back again? or does it have to be killed and then grow a…

Hey all I was thinking yesterday could it be possible to veg an indica such as big bud or other strain, Single cola, no supercropping etc to a height of 10 feet. Probably need 4x1000 watters. Pot size 400 or so liters using coco. Then wheel it out the shed into flowering mode, outdoors. Would the plant loose its vigor being vegged all that time? Is it theoretticaly possible? Not very practical but Would make a good photo if it worked

Hello everyone I had a quick question before i order my new seeds. I am going to buy http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?partno=GHFx5ww and it sais the THC percent is 12.00%. I here the greenhouse has some of the best seeds and wanted to know if that percent is wrong because all of the other ones say around 20%. ty

How do you get them ? I just grow in perlite and never get get those really hard buds that you get when you buy . Does that PK 13/14 stuff do it ? Or is is just the variety ? Dont get me wrong ,, my buds get you real stoned etc ,, but they lack weight and the solid appearance of the commercially grown stuff .

not sure where i read it or even if i imagend it but i think i read that a plant shows its sex breifly at the 3rd node? Im sprouting sum up soon & just dont want to dig holes for things im just gonna rip up early. I plan on keeping 1 male of each strain well away from the fems so it would be good to know whats what but being outside i dont have the luxury of playing with the sun. If there is no way of telling the sex so early then at what stage in flowering does the male start to release pollen? If i can catch the male before it releases pollen then i can harvest it & controll what i want seeded.

I have been reading here about bud rot & how in some cases people loose a lot of what they love. Now to my understanding you get but rot when there is too much moisture in the bud which for outdoors is after a rain. Well how would one go about using a automotive/solvent type pressure pump bottle (the one's you pump the plunger to make pressure so liquid sprays out & are normally red & white) to just blow air onto the bud & blow that pesky water away? Just a thought as they are compact, portable & cheap. I may even look to see what kind of compressed air bottles are around as a small 1 could do the job with a small air attachment.

Hi people, its been awhile since iv posted,hows everyone? Iv been talking to my pen pal in the Netherlands and last year he was growing the bubblelicius strain ( i think 2 time winner for indica cup) and it was the bomb,he and everyone that smoked it said it was amazing compared to the mostly commercial sativas that go around. Anyway, during one of his grows he got lazy and failed to take clones at the right time and that generation sadly died off.. i went and got some smoke from the hemp bar.......100 for there good stuff which was 3 grams good stuff and 5-6 grams of sh ittttttt oh man so bad i threw it away cept for 3 grams. That guy in the bar at back is a dawwwwg.

G'day, I think I have found out a way to lower the EC of your tap water if it is bad. Instead of having the tap blasting water out at high pressure, simply only turn the tap a little so the water runs out very slowly. Doing this over the last couple of days, I have found the EC of my tap water has dropped from 0.8 to 0.4. I assume this is because using the tap at high pressure will also blast out a lot of crap that is built up on the inside of the pipes. The downside is it will take a lot longer to get your water or fill your containers etc. But try it and see if it works for you...
