I have been reading articles regarding CO2 generators/homemade CO2 generators/pros and cons of them both but have ended up with a 50/50 result in regards to whether they are the go... The flowering room is 1m X 1m X 2.4m, 150mm centrifugal exhaust, 300 carbon filter, 200mm inlet fan at base, oscillating fan to create movement. What do you think? Will I need CO2? I was planning on running the fans constantly - but if I add CO2 then they will have to be off for some period of time (preferably during the dark period), and I read that you shouldn't use the CO2 during the dark period. im new to growing m own smoke so i was wondering does anyone have any trick or tips on how to tell the difference between a male and a feamle plant real quick...or just signs thatany idiot could notice so i dotn ruin my whole grow with a male plant pollinating my babies??

Thanks for the welcoming and your inputs. I seriously need help in the growing phase please. There is soooo much info out there and it is hard to narrow down what I shoud/should'nt do. As my topic describes I would like any input on what I should do. I am a first time grower and would very much know what and how I should grow. Hi all fellow growers - It's nearly Christmas 07 ad that means a pre-christmas shopping spree. I am chasing any comments on new 400w setups (bulb + balast). Is here a new 400w elecronic balast out that anyone is using presently and can give me they can give me the low down on it ? If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay ? Anyone with comments on my previous research on the topic of electronic balasts information regarding them giving off radio signals which interfere with TV, radio's ect ? What's the go now days ? My 400w HSP is in need of its 10 yr replacement. It's humming away ! N.

Hey. So today's the big day for my seedlings. They're around 16 days old, each one with 4 leaves, and I'm transplanting them from their rockwool-filled sprouting cups to my GH Waterfarms. Gonna put them in the center of the drip ring in a little patch of rockwool. Got slight nutrients added, and pH at around 6.3. Only thing I'm worried about is the distance between the little guy's roots and the drip ring. There's about a 1.5 inch (4cm) radius around where I think their roots will go and where the ring actually drips. Is this ok? Seems like a long ways to go.

Just kinked (cinked?) the main stem just then trying to do LST. I have proped it up with a stick to stop it from dying (I hope) but its still bent. Do you think it will recover? do you think I'll need to get a pic up? It is my best plant to, so I hope she's ok...

Yea this is a Shiva Skunk male that i kept to make some homebrand seeds , but now ive found 2 pollen sacs with a single pistal protruding from sac (see photo) ... its the 1st time i seen this ona male , but i should add that the plant has been kept in the bathroom and gets 12hrs of fluro light and an interupted 12hrs dark , so maybe this showing of an odd pistal has been induced by stress ?? now what im wondering is if i use pollen from this male plant will it contain the hermie gene .. what do you reckon ??

I just had a look at a site that tells you the daylight length for every day of the month & saw that 12/12 is not till march 25 but i read that we only have 2 months left till flowering starts. timeanddate.com says that there is 14hr most of Jan

Whilst there are a plethora of topics depicting male plants and how to avoid hermi's by getting rid of them, in my research I have been unable to find any information on how fast one must act once early signs of male flowering is spotted (Well I didn't research it, so much as watch re-runs of Family Guy). So, the question is what kind of time limit are we looking at before nearby female plants could be pollinated by a male that has only just began to show signs of flowering? and is it possible to move any male plants around the corner of my house, well away from the females without them pollinating them? Ez now people, I've just started out, first timer and have 3 on the go. They all in soil w/600w hps and carbon filter w/extractor. they been going for a little while now and for some crazy unexplainable reason we started one a bit later than the others.... (didn't think that through very well at all eh !) Basically i was wondering if i could prune the two beasts to the same height as the other one? And if anyone had any handy tips for doing so? ok Ive got 6 T5 54W high output tubes 4ft long 46W, 6 parabolic reflectors and 4 ballasts for the tubes all I have to do is wire them up and then mount them on some plywood, the tubes are 10000K Would these lights be ok for veg and flowering, i know they need some red spectrum light when flowering but will they be ok without? or will my buds be week loose? just let me say long time lurker and this should have been my first post..don't know about the others. Sorry for the hassles but any info will be greatly appreciated. My sister and I are wanting to grow a plant outside (first grow) and was just hoping for info and tips on things such as a good beginners strain and who you would personally recommend to order seeds from etc. Also, I was wondering if there's a FAQ or something similar for an outdoor grow, or would it not differ much from an indoor one? Just for things like nutrients and stuff like that. Again sorry for the noobiness and all help is appreciated.
