Hey guys if you guys have been reading up on all my newbie questions you know I am about to transplants my girls to some larger buckets and am almost ready to flower em under the HPS. The question I have is: I have noticed that as the temp decreases where I am residing the plants stems have become a purple color. I can see it in the veins of the leaves a bit but mostly on the the stems. Could this be a consequence of the colder climate: mid to low 60's at night and 70's during the day, or do you guys think this has to do more with a Phosphorous problem? Thanks for the responses and always the massive amount of help. Also stay posted for picks of their new habitat

hey folks, im pretty sure i have either a calcium or sulfur deficiency. as i read in the faq, a calcium deficiency can cause the leaf margins and the leafs to curl in a upward motion. making the leaf's look retarded. i read that a calcium deficiency can come about when too much Mg magnesium is added. Now thinking about it i did add a littl.e extra epsom salts to the soil, before planting them. what nutrients are high in calcium and/or sulfur

hey folks, for the first time in my whole growing experiance i have just heard/read about flushing.. now this could have helped me out so many fkn times where somthing had gone wrong for eg the wrong soil ph, nute burn, deficiencys... sheesh.. anyway, im just not sure about this part - if i was to buy some cocopeat, can i adjust the pH of it by adding a head of pH addjusted water to it ? or just flushing it through pots ? if i had planted some plants in soil, and then found out the pH was incorrect, could i just flush pH adjusted water through them too ? im also pretty sure i added too much magnesium sulfate to the soil of some of the clones i have going.. caus…

g'day all, i was just wanting some input into what a good flowering PH level would be. eg: do they do different things on each level like 5.7 and 6.2 and so on.

hi all, I'm new on the board, nice to be here For the last 2 years I've been living in the Netherlands aka Holland. Have really enjoyed the smoke here, and I'm planning on sending some seeds back home to Melbourne, to try my first grow. So I'm posting to ask, what kind of strains would be a good choice? I live in the mountains a few hours drive from melbourne, to give you an idea of climate. I'd like to try a basic indoor soil grow, as well as planting some in the bush during summer (theres an enormous wilderness area nearby, many private places to grow a couple plants here and there!) Would like to try a few different kinds of seeds, but I want to buy strains th…

So, this friend of mine has been growing outdoors. Ha, they're not really ready to throw up too many pics at the moment, they don't look great/big, just after their first bit of a growth spurt. There's 4 all up. One generic crap, one from a REALLY nice lot they were lucky enough to find some seeds in, and 2 imported....or something like that, can't recall the exact specifics. So this person would like to know a few things. To give some information, as I understand it they were ?germinated? in cottonwool and transferred over to a mixture of store bought fert/dirt, and some soaked peatmoss, also had some of those water saver gel beads mixed in. They were last replanted in…

I've just extended my little grow cupboard from just over 1meter to 1.6meters as they got too tall! I should have turned them earlier to 12/12 but anyway Ive had them on 12/12 for a few days now after giving them 48 hours of dark to kick start the flowering. After the 48 hour dark peroid I have 2 confirmed females and one def male.Is this normal to show sex so soon?? still waiting on the other 3 to show sex... Can I do this again (48hours of dark) to further minimize the stretch and encourage a more rapid on set of flowering?or could this cause them to chuck a hermie ? Any advice be great thanks John

hey folks, the 8 clones that i put outdoors, which then started to bud, so i put them indoors back under 24/7 light. n ow, they have finally started vegging again, and they have stretched quite a bit. how long should i leave it now before repotting them, as i dont want to stun them and for some reason turn hermi. should i cut off all the lower growth tht is still all covered in a sticky resin ? also, whats the best thing to do at this point to ensure they dont turn hermi ? cheers

hey people my mate grew this small plant last season, turned hermi, so he kept it and got 1000's of seeds. i planted about 20, and they all showed traits of hermi when i put them from indoor to outdoor.. now ive only just relised this again but i have about 50 3" seedlings outside which are all of the same seed. will they all be hermi's ? ive never incounted this problem before, my mate has now started about 7 this season, and all have turned hermi.. is their anyway of switching them to females ? i do have this spray that kills the male pollen and add's extra P;K any idea ?? cheers

hey folks, i got 8 clones off a mate about 6 weeks ago, put them outdoors, they started to bud, then had to put them back indoors under 24hr light. they have started to stretch out of the buds in about the last week, but now all the new kind of growth is very retarded.. for eg, 3 finger leaves where the middle one is huge and a barely noticeable other 2 little leaves. And many other retarded 1 finger leaves. And their was one clone from the get go which was very retarded, curved and wavey big 1 finger leaves. any help ?

I've heard and read this quite a few times. Is it true or BS? Do you give your plants a bit of a thrashing? and if so, is there any particular technique or time that's best? thanks
