“A lot of the guys grow a beard when they arrive at Comms. That didn’t work for meso I adopted the dreads instead”

And on the 24th of April, she’s going to shave her head to raisemoney for United In Compassion.

Ana and her family became advocates for the legalisation of medicinal Cannabis after researching the associated benefits and how it could potentially ease the pain of a family member who was suffering a neurological disease. The more they educated themselves onthe plant and its properties, themore Ana felt that it was a causeshe wanted to support.

That’s when she got in touch with Troy Langman from United in Compassion. The story of Dan Haslam and how hisparents Lucy and Lou campaigned to provide him with some relief from the pain he was suffering reallystruck a chord, and it was for this cause that Ana wanted to do something to raise further awareness.

On Sunday the 24th of April, Anawill be shaving her waist length dreadlocks at the Newcastle Fire Station to help raise funds for theorganisation United in Compassion, whilst hoping to also further raise awareness that medicinal Cannabis can provide relief of suffering across many medical conditions. The ‘Shave for Compassion’ will be undertaken at 11am at Newcastle Fire Station in Cooks Hill, andeveryone is invited to come alongto support the great work undertaken by all the people at United inCompassion.
