We’re excited tobe hosting an evening with James W Jesso (www.jameswjesso.com), a Canadian author and public educatordedicated to helping to distill an accessible language for understanding what it means to cultivate and live a life of psychospiritual maturity.
The evening will explore his experience and learnings using psilocybin for the purpose of supporting a process of self-transformation towards psychological and emotional health. With an emerging subculture and media focus on microdosing, and the benefits psychedelics for well being, it’s an opportune time to hear from someone who has walked the road before.
The 4 Archetype of Psilocybin
Psilocybin provides the opportunity to explore a very novel state of consciousness which is being increasingly attributed with high levelsof psychological and spiritual significance. In particular, it is being attributed to catalyzing powerfully transformative changes in those using it. There is solid discussion on the the various qualities and characteristics of the psilocybin experience within the academic community, but a coherent model of the psychology of psilocybin specific to the process of positive personal transformation is lacking. This presentation presents such a model, developed out of personal experience and extensive study.
The model is referred to as The4 Archetypes Of Psilocybin and discusses the its use for the purpose of supporting a process of self-transformation towards psychological and emotional health; the experiential characteristics of the psilocybin experience, the emotional processes it catalyzes, and the possible benefits those process can offer the individual; as well as how these described processes and benefits overlap with discoveries in neuroscience.

James W. Jesso is a Canadian author and public educator who is dedicated to helping to distill an accessible language for understanding what it meansto cultivate and live a life of psychospiritual maturity.
In doingso, he looks to engender regenerative, coherent, and public discourse on psychedelics, sexuality, meditative practice, and conscious relationships — the means by he believes psychospiritual maturity can be most powerfully developed.
He has authored numerous articles, essays, and videos, done radio, podcast, and print interviews, andtoured across the world giving lectures and facilitating public discussions on a variety of subjects.Jesso has given over 40 public presentations since the start of 2013. Most recently, he has taught inPeru on plant-based psychotherapywhile touring the jungle, studying and exploring the use of Ayahuasca as a spiritual tool.
He has independently published three books,Decomposing The Shadow: Lessons From The Psilocybin Mushroom (2013), Soundscapes & Psychedelics (2014) and The True Light Of Darkness (2015). He is also the host of the crowd-funded podcast ATTMind Radio.
