I know we've got a few dedicated stoners in our music industry, but mainly the rap/hip hop genre, unlike the old days of stoner rock and reggae = floyd/marley. and the open stoners of today are pretty lame, materialistic etc. eg. snoop dogg.

But there are no real stoners who play the guitar, I know the guitarist from the deftones is open with smoking chron all day, but unsure any others

Also, apparently the lead singer from System of a Down is a huge pothead. I'm sure the rest of the band are too if you've ever heard their music.

I personally enjoy playing guitar when stoned, because everything I play sounds awsome, and I get all into it. But I'm usually too lazy and just sit on my ass and watch shit and play games, which sucks. I want an energetic weed. :reallyexcited:

I havnt realy checked it out, but i know there used to be a 420 bands site just on its own, and it had a whole bunch of pics of rock musos pulling bongs and shit.

A lot of my muso friends are stoners - and I'd be quicker to say their music is fucking much more enjoyable than pop culture/top 40 shit. I don't mean that due to stoner bias either - rather by their music, personalities, giving out free CDs etc.

Ahhh....yes! Children of Bodom are excellent...great driving music too.

I was at a Primus concert a few years ago and people were chucking shit on the stage. Les Claypool said "Don't throw anything up here unless it resembles a bag of marijuana". Guess that makes him a candidate.
The thing is, performers need more than a little toot to maintain that stage high once the show's over. Scoob is a neat relaxant for those hunched over a keyboard 24 hours a day. Those with a happening life delve a lot deeper into the medicine cabinet and prolly smoke herb like it was tobacco.

Also great for the whiping out the air guitar.

I've been a full time professional musician and even had radio play. Yes..... name a good rock artist and I'll hammer out some tunes on the guitar, (or most other instruments but guitar is my fav).

I remember seein pantera at festival hall....start of their set was like orchestra music and a huge heshin sheet hanging over in front of tha stage....with tha biggest mully leaves you would ever see floatin all over it...thats right, if ya know ya pantera, tha first part of suicide note was playin when tha mully leaves were floatin...then second part of tha song started, tha mully leaves disapperaed and all hel broke loose...was also at spleandour in tha grass watchin bodyjar..he stopped halfway thru a song and said, 'I will get security in here and find out who is smokin that joint if no-one gives me any'....

Aaron Lewis from STAIND is a good smoker ...he was on the cover of high times with a massive bannana bud in his hand...they had this cool stained glass bong made for him and were plying him with weed till they just about had to stop him cos he was unable to complete the interview.....there first big album break the cycle is a good album to listen to when your having a pipe

Back in '93 i seen Metallica & their support was a band called KYUSS...when they came out on stage & started to play , the singer said"we r KYUSS, we r from the deserts of California & WE R VERY STONED !! ...lets rock" & they did...they was actually better than the headliners, on the night,later in the show the singer said, " i smell drugs !! gimme some!!" their t-shirts had a bong on them(i could'nt get 1 ) with something written on them about a big cone packed with goodness ...or something like that...my memory is somewhat hazy anyway, these guys became QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE... also, the last time i seen SLAYER...about '99 i think....anyway, right at the end of the show, Tom Araya, vocals/bass, said "goodnight, time to get STONED!!
