My all time favourite is the 'Yeke Yeke Hardfloor Remix'. It's out there in cyberspace, look in e donkey or some other P2P network. The original guy who wrote/performed it is Mory Cante (SP?), some African genius. The original track is cool, I heard it one night in London stoned on good Moroccan hash and immediately recognised it as the original. The remix is just beautiful though if you're into trance or any sorta techno. I heard it once coming home from a really big party in Victoria peaking on some very clean liquid psychedelic and puffing some good smoke. I heard it a couple of other times and just loved it, althouh it was only when I'd been overseas and smokeless a year or so and had saved enough cash for a minidisc player and had a mate with an internet connection that I finally got to have it for myself. I honestly paid my dues to have a copy of that song, laugh.gif. Firing up a big hash joint in Vondelpark, Amsterdam with that song playing in my headphones made those dues worth it. I may harp on about Amsterdam on these boards, but I love that place SO much. I visited several times and fell in love with the city. You can get buds in Australia that are as good or better than anything in Amsterdam, but my first love is hash, and the sheer selection in Holland is mind blowing. Haarlem is as good, if not better than Amsterdam for it's variety of nice hash, as are the regional towns and smaller cities. I love that song and I love that country. Peace.

When i saw this topic (and as i'm posting now) i put on the very song that is probably my favourite these days.

About 3 weeks ago, i stumbled across a song in my massive collection (over 6,500) of music. The song is Jogi by Panjabi MC, it's indian i think but it's like hip-hop and cultural and techno and fuckin sick!

Here is it's info:

Title: Jogi
Artist: Panjabi MC
Album (where i got it): Wild Summer 2004 Disc 1 Track 9 of 23. (it's a sick techno album, get into it!)
Time: 3:18

In the 3 and a half weeks i've had this song, it's been played 221 times (the last one being just a minute ago). That's an equivalent of 12.2 hours of this one song in 3 weeks. And i'm still not sick of it, my best mate absolutely rocks off it, and it's good for chopping/getting there/quite stoned/ and off ur fuckin nut (with a visualizer going!!).

Get this song you won't regret it!!!!!!!

P.S - Btw, goonie, If you want i'll trade ya "jogi" for 'Yeke Yeke Hardfloor Remix' if you want, or anyone else's fave stoner song!!
goonie
Check your PM's Infinitee, no worries with a trade.

What the hell is with people loving the Doors? My girlfriend is a huge fan too and I don't understand it at all. Their music sounds very dated and tinny and their melodies bore me. I seriously can't listen to one song all the way through.

Berrie (or anyone else) will you enlighten me!?

LTJ Bukem - Darker Than Blue (new favourite)
Infinitee
Man no one can really explain why they like a particular artist. There might be some music that gets your head banging, has beautiful melodies/harmonies, has beautiful lyrics, but hey we just like The Doors, and don't ask me why!!

I think if your gona go for a toke with pink floyd, i would have to go with welcome to the machine, or the full series of shine on your crazy diamond.

Also alot of the tracks from umaguma are brilliant for a sesh as well.

I don't usually toke while listening to anything, for I do it in my closet (roomate and landlords upstairs)

But after I'm done, nothing sounds better than some good technical death metal with some great production, like Nile.

Dub Side of the Moon is at last available on vinyl! Colored vinyl, no less. The 12" LP comes in three different colors: red, gold, and green. It features all of the songs from the original sequence of "Dark Side of the Moon" (though you'll have to buy the CD to get the four bonus cuts).
