Why use yahoo, msn, icq or aol when you could use a secure encrypted messenger.

All messages sent through this instant messenger are automatically encrypted.

Just check out what this messenger can be used for and download it at - Secure Shuttle Transport.

Thanks Oz, if it works ok I'll flush msn down the sink with the bong water.

Hey Oz, when I ran sst.exe it installed a thing called "Anonymizer", with that on I can't log-in here. Can't seem to locate the encrypted messenger anywhere in it though. unsure.gif

Thanks for the heads up OzStoner....which networks does it use? The same as IRC/IrCQ? Or a variety of them like Trillian? Or does it have it's own separate servers?

@Tom: Anonymizer allows you to surf 'anonymously', by using anon proxies...
Tom
Yeah, understood that, it's the messenger side of things I a bit lacking in knowledge about.

Tom you should find a new folder in your programs menu called Boomerang SST, the program in there called secure shuttle transport is the messenger.

I believe if this encrypted messenger program was designed in USA, I think there's a law in USA that all encrypted programs must be provided to the government so they can unlock the code for so called country's security reasons????

hahaha,..YES! this is OH SO TRUE!...there's only one encrypting source that isn't giving these codes to the US gouvernement, and that's PGP,...but it's well possible they found a way to un-encrypt it by now.

.....the thing is,..you only put a spotlight on yourself sending encrypted messenges, all kinds of "secret agencies" are looking for them. msn and yahoo on the other hand is used by so many people at the same time globally that it is costing way too much, even with them "keyword search software" of them, to search and find us stoned chatterz,..don't believe them controlling the internet,...THEY WISH HAHAHA!
the safest way to talk private with your friends is still the most common messengers. tongue.gif

there's only one way of being sure to be private,..and that's only using secured (htpps) lines for transferring your data.

I think you've hit the nail on the head tboat. ultimately what we're relying on is that the fish are too small and the effort too big for net stoners to be in any real danger. As long as we're not waving any red flags I think we'll mostly be OK.

well, I hope so anyway.

has anyone got any knowledge of stoners/growers being busted through their activity on the net?

I havent heard of anyone in the 3 years ive been online gettin busted for talking about pot in chat ( since when was that a crime?) also ive had had stoner websites online for those 3 years and nary a knock at my door , i ve used all the messengers , pulled bongs on mic and webcam.
The net is too big and narcs resources too low to try and bust stoners on the net , they spend more time tracking down pedophiles and hackers instead , sure they could do some damage if they wanted to some of our websites but as far as busting the general user who sits at home smokin bongs and surfing i don't think it would be worth their while
my first stoner site at Homestead.com i actually wrote them an email outlining what my site was about and they gave me the thumbs up hehe and now at geocities i can move my site from one free account to another in minutes if i get shut down but there are sooooo many other sites they are trying to close that i'll be lost in space for years :laugh.gif:
anywayz nothin wrong wiv talkin bout da weed :laugh.gif:
just a thought aus pop. = 20 million i thinks laugh.gif
1/3 of aussies smoke pot = some survey i seen = 7 million
50% of aussies are online = 10 million
bush maths tell me that there could be up to 2-3 million stoners online.......lotsa work for mr.narc eh?
* the above figures are reliant on my memroy as i sit here smoking some hydro at 11 am so feel free to correct laugh.gif biggrin.gif

maybe 1/3 of the population has tried pot at one time or another, but I don't think 1/3 would be full time stoners.

Also, of the stoners on the net, I doubt all of them or even most of them would make their identities as potheads known or be members of sites such as this.

just my 2c
boulder
Overgrow.com has 700/900 members online per day and no reports of being busted for their internet activities.

Cheers.
