Tom
I've noticed a few people don't know how to use the "Quote" function when replying to other posts, so here is a quick guide on how to do it.

When in the reply screen you will notice a set of buttons above it and just below, one of them with the word "QUOTE" on it. To start a quote you click on the "QUOTE" button once and "
" will appear in your post and the "QUOTE" button will change to "QUOTE*", copy and paste the text you wish to quote from so it is directly next to the "
" in your post and then click the "QUOTE*" button, "
should then appear at the end of your quoted text. For example "
I've noticed a few people don't know how
" is displayed in a quote box when entered in the normal fashion.

Ive tried to get a few people to use it, but i havent had much luck. Theres a tool at Microsoft called a 'powertoy'. Its an image resizer. After you install it (it takes about 30 seconds to dl and install), to resize an image you only have to right click on the image you want resized (or highlight multiple images using the ctrl+ left click with mouse then right click on one of the highlighted images) and select 'resize images'. then you select 'small', 'medium' or 'large' size, and its done. you dont have to wait for programs to load, you just right click straight from the folder your pics are in.

I've tried photoshop, irfanview, ACDsee, MS Paint, and this is BY FAR the easiest way imo.

download direct here:

to get multiple quotes with the link to the post they came from, you just have to press "add quote" in the thread on the posts you want to quote and then press reply :smoke

Yeah, I explain how to do that in Paint, at least they already have that on their system and they can also cut out the embarrassing reflections with it too, but for a quick and easy tool to use then the Powertoy resizer is the way to go. The easiest way I've found is to take the pictures at 640 x 480, I rarely have to resize them that way.

To get the short comment "nugget23 from 2 posts above" I altered the first "QUOTE" to read like "
". biggrin.gif

I still don't get the "Add reply" thingies tho ... doh.gif even tho I've somehow done it once or twice , I don't know how I did ...
But I don't think I need to actually , Just a bit more copy/pasting if need be ... still would be good to know ...
smile.gif
And about Photoshop .. It's very easy to resize the image , then when re-saving it ya can set the Quality aswell ... but It's a bit strange sometimes ...
I think i've figured that if the quality slider is up high from the last resize/re-save , the filesize will be too large .. But if It's set down lower (Before re-saving) then the File sizes are good .. very odd and It seems funny they should make it that way .. but maybe they expect that people would use the same Quality Always disregarding size ... scratchchin.gif

Anywayz .. Thx for the tips guyz .. peace.gif
